00:45 You recently wrote a blog post about matching shoe color to your hair. What color shoes do you recommend for salt and pepper hair? I’m mixed light gray/brown in the front, but still have mostly dark brown in the back. I have attached some shoes that I thought might work.
Also, I have dark brown knee-high boots that I love. What color should I dye them?
03:30 We know people can perceive an overall colour differently from each other (blue dress vs gold dress). I’m curious if there are any physical or cultural differences in how people perceive the individual elements of colour (value, overtone/undertone and intensity)?
09:55 First, my shopping standards have been lower than I realize I now want them to be. I’ve purchased a couple of items that did not end up working as well as I would like. I would like guidance on how to have the right kinds of shopping criteria. I want guardrails, not handcuffs, while still not letting less than desirable pieces in. Perhaps you could illustrate the principle of this based on my question about necklines.
24:10 Second, I can use help coming up with neckline purchasing guidelines I will be happy with. My issue is around the recommendation of having “v” necklines based on my chin. I’m short waisted and have a larger bust. So when I purchase and wear tops with v-necklines, often the V hits so low where it shows more of my cleavage than I feel comfortable with. In order to feel comfortable in that top, I’ll wear a scoop neck tank. If my tank is a different color than the v-neck top, sometimes it creates more distractions and lines than I would like based on the total outfit. If the tank is the same color as the v-neck top it seems to defeat the purpose and benefit of having the V-collar. I like to try to minimize the need for expensive alterations. But I do want my clothes to look and fit correctly.
25:30 Another issue I’m having with the neckline comes with what necklace I select. You suggested that I can work around the need for a v-neck top by wearing a necklace with a pendant or something that creates the visual of a “v”. This creates another challenge when I use the balance point concept with the necklace to position it below my chin. If I am wearing a v-neck top, the pendant of the necklace hits the bottom on the v-neck in a cluttered way. This doesn’t look right. A circular necklace looks better in those cases.
This seems to complicate my shopping for necklaces. Should I be looking for necklaces with pendants in the shape of a “v”? Or should I be strict about only buying v-neck tops and stick with regular round collar-type necklaces?
I am rebuilding my wardrobe and want to curate it well. I lean towards being more patient with higher standards. I want to get a wardrobe that works well and creates simplicity in my life.
29:10 This is hair airdried no styling. Getting hair cut next week. Like length, but think it needs to be layered from cheekbones down. This makes face look long. Your opinion.

50:00 Do you sell swatches?
52:30 You helped me a while ago to figure out my colours. And I have a little card so I wanted to just get bigger ones.
53:10 I still don’t know what my colors are. I’ve self diagnose myself.
55:20 Colour neutrals selection: I’m kind of redoing my neutrals. And I know you talk about hair, eyes, I’m thinking that my eyes are kinda blue and green.
1:02:25 Always trying to find warmer denim blue is hard.
1:03:30 What would you suggest winter pants for light value and medium colour contrast?
Personal neutral recommendations based on coloring:
Grey for cool-toned with grey hair (Linda),
Camel/beige for warm-toned (Christina),
Dark brown for darker coloring (Anne, Rosella),
Cognac for certain warm tones (Judith),
Light grey/taupe for lighter cool tones (Deborah, Imogen)
1:05:11 This is where I struggle with, I feel like I need something light to make the contrast?
